I think the real question is, what is there to hide from the instructor that doesn’t or won’t teach hitters how to increase ball exit speed?

  • Do they not know how to increase ball exit speeds?
  • Since ball exit speed can be simply and quickly measured, are they afraid of people finding out their current teachings are inferior?
  • Have they burned EVERY bridge of EVERY expert they run across that they can’t save face and admit the truth about exit speed and hitting?
  • Are they teaching many young hitters that come in struggling to hit the ball out of the infield?  Or are they just getting number one draft picks who’s ball exit speeds are already top shelf?  And if that’s the case, and ball exit speed is irrelevant, then why not bring the number one drafts pick’s ball exit speeds down to more “manageable” levels?
